We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with experience in Quick Books Online, Quick Books Desktop, CCH Axcess Tax and Pfx Engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and preparation for individuals and businesses.
Candidate must have a work permit. Candidate must be located in California.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review business (S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, LLC) and individual tax returns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning for clients
- Reconcile financial statements and tax data using Pro System fx Tax and Pfx Engagement
- Work with Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop to manage client books and prepare tax adjustments
- Assist with tax projections and estimated tax payments
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with the team to improve tax processes and efficiencies
- CPA or EA preferred (or working toward certification)
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Online, Quick Books Desktop, Pro System fx Tax, and Pfx Engagement
- Solid understanding of GAAP and tax law
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
