About the Role

  • Tax Senior
Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the direction of supervisors, managers, or partners.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, high-quality work, and adherence to professional and firm standards.
  • Provide direction to staff and assistants, including task instruction and review of working papers.
  • Determine appropriate audit test-checking procedures and select transactions for testing.
  • Prepare and index working papers; execute procedures in accordance with GAAP to verify the accuracy and validity of client financial information.
  • Prepare complex tax returns, including those related to dissolutions or liquidations.
  • Identify and communicate tax-planning opportunities to supervisors, managers, or partners.
  • Draft routine client correspondence for partner review and contribute comments for management letters.
  • Supervise staff accountants, review their work, and provide guidance on necessary revisions.
  • Work occasional overtime throughout the year, with significant overtime required during busy season (January 1–April 15), potentially exceeding 55 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating increasing responsibility in audit, accounting, and tax work.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
  • Completion of at least 40 hours of continuing professional education annually.
  • Active CPA license or active progress toward licensure by completing the required state CPA exams.
  • If licensed, membership in good standing with the AICPA is preferred.
