Technical Accounting Manager

Cooper Douglas has partnered with a global market leader in the food & beverage space in Santa Cruz County to hire a Senior Technical Accounting Manager. This role will join a high performing accounting team and play a key role in consolidated financial reporting, intercompany activity, and technical accounting support across a complex, multi entity structure.

• Manage the monthly and quarterly consolidation process, including review of intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
• Prepare consolidated quarterly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity roll forward, and cash flow
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany, investment, and equity elimination entries
• Lead account roll forwards and internal management reporting packages
• Support cash flow automation initiatives and reporting improvements
• Draft technical accounting memos and support the development and maintenance of accounting policies
• Partner with business unit controllers and cross functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent reporting
• Support management reporting and variance analysis
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and documentation efforts
• Provide audit support, including preparation of schedules and responses to external auditor requests

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license preferred
• Experience in public accounting, Big 4 strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with complex consolidations and intercompany transactions
• Experience working in multi entity environments with a collaborative, hands on approach

Compensation up to $180K plus 20 percent bonus, sign on bonus, and strong benefits
