Accounts Payable Specialist

Location:

Base Pay Range

$24.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Enter and maintain AP transactions in Quick Books.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments according to terms.
  • Assist with month-end close and provide AP reports as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting preferred).
  • Experience:

    2+ years of AP experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and invoice automation tools.
  • Knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting.
