Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
- Enter and maintain AP transactions in Quick Books.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments according to terms.
- Assist with month-end close and provide AP reports as needed.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting preferred). - Experience:
2+ years of AP experience in a corporate environment. - Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems and invoice automation tools.
- Knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting.
