Essential Functions
  • Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors in everything you do.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. Keep egress to emergency exits clear and report unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
  • Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; maintain friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Assist Customers using register training, merchandise assistance, and answering questions politely. Greet all Customers with eye contact, a smile, and a “hello” throughout the Store, and thank them with every transaction.
  • Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and handle all Customer issues courteously, calling Store Leadership when needed.
  • Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas to maintain merchandise, customer and team areas.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company’s dress code.
  • Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery per Company best practice to ensure a neat, clean and organized store that is well‑maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards.
  • Expedite newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency and merchandize items per presentation guidelines while maintaining brand familiarity to assist Customers.
  • Understand the Loss Prevention Awareness program, Shortage Highway, Store Protection Specialist (SPS) position (where applicable), and merchandise protection standards.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions; safeguard confidential, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
  • Follow all Mark‑Out‑of‑Stock (MOS) policies, properly process each piece and notify Store Leadership to review and approve disposals.
  • Follow all cash, check, charge card and refund transaction policies and procedures, maintain accuracy when handling bankable tenders.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to efficiently perform your role; maximize productivity by executing all Store best practices and minimizing steps and touches in your workflow.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
  • Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA
  • Use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required.
  • Spend 100% of working time standing, walking and moving around the Store.
  • Regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds.
  • Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies.
  • Possibility of other qualifications and skills for specific assignments.
  • Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling and lifting more than 20 pounds.
