Responsibilities- Attend bid meetings and develop effective bid strategies while preparing thorough, accurate, and timely cost analyses.
- Analyze project proposals, architectural drawings, and engineering blueprints to determine project scope, construction methods, and required materials.
- Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and associated expenses.
- Maintain and update historical cost data to support accurate estimating.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate costs, and ensure timely material delivery.
- Ensure all estimates align with project requirements, design intent, budget constraints, and schedule commitments.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 3 years in a mid-level estimating role.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, Pro Est, Agtek, Heavy Bid or similar.
- Experience with BIM Software, such as Revit or Navisworks.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
