Mountain Home is seeking a full‑time Family Support Specialist to provide hands‑on, interactive support for young families in home and community settings. In this role, you will assist families with daily routines, including morning and evening transitions, while engaging closely with parents and children. You will model and promote healthy family interactions, supporting balanced and effective family functioning.

The position requires a BS/BA Degree in a Human Services Related Field is preferred; an equivalency can be used based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience. Experience working with families and young children in community‑based settings. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse family structures. Ability to model and support healthy family functioning and positive parenting practices.

Flexibility to work within family homes and adapt to changing needs and schedules.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in‑home support to families, focusing on daily routines and family dynamics.
  • Model positive parenting practices and encourage healthy family interactions.
  • Assist with morning and evening routines to establish consistent household rhythms.
  • Collaborate with parents to identify strengths and areas for growth.
  • Offer practical, hands‑on guidance to promote a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive family support services.
  • Work closely with Mountain Home Montana’s clinical professionals in providing services as assigned and developed through prescribed curriculum lesson plans.
  • Spend time with the client and family as assigned and/or as identified on the treatment plan.
  • Coordinate with the larger care team to help develop a comprehensive Individualized treatment plan.
  • Provide services to identified children and families in order to assist in gaining access to medical Services, Social Services, educational Service, vocational services, and recreational services.
