Advocates of guest experience welcome, thank, and exceed expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. They support both in-store and digital services and are knowledgeable about capabilities that drive adoption and loyalty. The role includes helping guests quickly and easily at check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while maintaining high quality.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and assisting with their needs.
- Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Discuss Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety and guidelines.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; guide guests to enroll and use them.
- Assist with returns following store policies and consult leadership as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up, and drive-up returns, while complying with applicable laws.
- Any other duties as needed based on business needs.
- Enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including team members.
- Thrive in a fast-moving, physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
- Effective communication and positive language with guests and teammates.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to educate guests about products and services.
- Comfort with using multiple devices and handheld scanners; operate technology as directed.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Remain focused in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks within time frames.
