Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Cath Lab

Overview

Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

$30,000 Sign-on Bonus with a two (2) year commitment to that role. External applicants who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months are welcome.

Position Details

Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE

Shift length: 10 hours

Start Time: 0700

Unit: Heart & Vascular Cath Lab

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Monday-Friday, call is every third weekend and 1-2 nights per week

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to work in fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical and assessment skills required.

Required Qualifications
  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS upon hire
  • Two (2) years of Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN Preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of Cath Lab or procedural experience

Additional Information/Department information: The RN coordinates all patient care activities in the Heart Center Cath Lab. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to Cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for assistive personnel.

Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills.
