Do you believe lived experience can inspire hope and create real change? Are you passionate about walking alongside others on their recovery journey? Winds of Change is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to support individuals navigating mental health and/or substance use challenges in Missoula, MT.
In this role, your personal recovery experience becomes a powerful tool for connection, encouragement, and empowerment. You’ll help foster hope, resilience, and self-advocacy within a supportive, recovery-oriented environment. Working closely with fellow Peer Support Specialists and Rehab & Support staff, you’ll spend the majority of your time out in the community, meeting clients where they are and supporting them in meaningful, practical ways.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and group peer support grounded in mutual respect and shared lived experience
- Build authentic, trusting relationships that promote hope, resilience, and self-determination
- Collaborate with clinical and support teams to strengthen a recovery-focused culture
- Model healthy coping skills, wellness practices, and positive self-advocacy
- Support clients as they navigate systems, resources, and their own recovery goals
- Current Certified Peer Support Specialist credential (required)
- Lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for advocacy and person-centered, recovery-focused care
- Ability to maintain healthy boundaries with clients
- A collaborative, compassionate team player who brings curiosity and joy to the work

Compensation: $17.50 hourly
