How you make a difference

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will gather essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will assist nurses in various activities, using your education and competencies to contribute to the healthcare team and support high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care, following established policies and procedures.
  • Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
  • Adhere to designated work schedules and respond to codes or patient crises per site policies; assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
  • Prioritize infection control techniques and contribute to patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment; attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the state if required by the state or facility.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.

Additional details

  • This position will be for Medical Assistant Coverage & Administrative Assistant Coverage as needed. Must be a Medical Assistant.
