Overview
The Arc Western Montana is hiring a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in the Missoula community. This is hands-on, purpose-driven work. As an RBT, you’ll provide one-on-one therapy using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help clients build independence, learn new skills, and thrive. Whether you’re just starting your ABA career or bringing prior experience, we’ll support you with training, supervision, and opportunities to grow.

What We Offer- Starting pay: $18.00 per hour until RBT certification
- $23.00 per hour after RBT certification (or immediately if already certified)
- Paid training in RBT certification, CPR, First Aid, Mandt, and Medication Administration
- Stable, consistent schedule:
Wednesday – Sunday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (40 hours per week) - Supportive team with BCBA supervision
- Entry-level friendly for those interested in starting a career in ABA
- Up to 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year

- Provide one-to-one ABA therapy using behavior plans developed by a BCBA
- Use evidence-based techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect and record behavior data accurately
- Support clients and caregivers in meeting therapy goals
- Assist with modifying and maintaining individualized behavior plans under supervision
- Maintain RBT certification through ongoing education

What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) preferred, or willingness to complete and pass a background check, a 40-hour training program, RBT Competency Assessment, and board examination. Approval paperwork must be submitted to the BACB within 30 days of hire. Paid training is provided if not already certified.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of ABA principles, techniques, and data collection methods is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Proof of auto liability insurance in accordance with Montana law, and insurability with The Arc Western Montana’s insurer
