Position: Staff Accountant at ALPS CORPORATION Missoula, MT

Overview

Staff Accountant job at ALPS CORPORATION. Missoula, MT. ALPS is law firm insurance made easy, and we’re seeking a Staff Accountant with a strong passion for numbers, financial analysis, and accuracy to join our finance team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process claims payables twice per week
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts across multiple subsidiaries
  • Produce monthly Statutory and GAAP financial statements within required timelines
  • Assist with preparing and filing quarterly and annual regulatory financial statements
  • Calculate and record deferred income taxes and current tax expenses on a consolidated basis for parent and subsidiary companies
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist with annual financial audits and state regulatory exams
  • Support the finance team with daily tasks and monthly reporting requirements
  • Provide customer service support for ALPS Corporation and subsidiaries as needed
  • Perform other duties and participate in meetings as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient with GAAP and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Employees must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize the workload
Compensation

Compensation details: $55,000 - $75,000 yearly salary
