Truss Designer - Relocation Required | Building Materials Industry

As a Truss Designer, you'll play a key role in interpreting blueprints and creating accurate, production-ready designs for trusses and engineered wood components. This on-site role is essential to the company's success and offers the opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects with a seasoned team of construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing
- Translate customer blueprints into precise and accurate truss and component designs.
- Finalize working drawings for fabrication and production purposes.
- Ensure all designs adhere to company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions.
- Review architectural and structural plans to identify design requirements.
- Analyze specifications and engineered drawings to create efficient, code-compliant layouts.
- Address design challenges quickly and accurately with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to work on-site.
- Proficiency in truss design software: MiTek preferred, Alpine considered
- Working knowledge of construction principles and truss design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, layout interpretation, and framing concepts.
- Solid foundation in math, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team in a deadline-driven environment.
