Civil Water/Wastewater Engineer - Project Manager

Location:

• Lead planning, design, permitting, funding, bidding, and construction administration for civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Work with the client to understand project scope, resolve issues, and provide routine progress updates.
• Focus areas include water intake, treatment, pumping, storage, distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment.
• Prepare plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
• Leverage engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
• Lead and complete engineering design projects from start to finish.
• Meet with client board members and provide monthly progress reporting.
• Monitor construction progress and provide construction support and on-site observation.
• Lead and manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and RFI review, progress payment review, compliance with funding provisions, and oversight of on-site staff.
• Analyze facilities for compliance with local, state, and federal standards; provide improvement alternatives to achieve compliance.
• Assist the Senior Manager in engaging with community members, government officials, and stakeholders to communicate goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering design and construction experience; water/wastewater project experience preferred.
• Experience in task or project management.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after hire.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in conjunction with engineering licensure preferred.
• Experience with engineering design software (e.g., Civil 3D or similar).
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software or similar.
• Knowledge of engineering planning studies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Up to $120,000 base pay (DOE) with potential wage growth
