Civil Water/Wastewater Engineer - Project Manager
Location:

- Lead planning, design, permitting, funding, bidding, and construction administration for civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Work with the client to understand project scope, resolve issues, and provide routine progress updates.
- Focus areas include water intake, treatment, pumping, storage, distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment.
- Prepare plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
- Leverage engineering design software to edit project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
- Lead and complete engineering design projects from start to finish.
- Meet with client board members and provide monthly progress reporting.
- Monitor construction progress and provide construction support and on-site observation.
- Lead and manage construction administration tasks, including submittal and RFI review, progress payment review, compliance with funding provisions, and oversight of on-site staff.
- Analyze facilities for compliance with local, state, and federal standards; provide improvement alternatives to achieve compliance.
- Assist the Senior Manager in engaging with community members, government officials, and stakeholders to communicate goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering design and construction experience; water/wastewater project experience preferred.
- Experience in task or project management.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or able to obtain after hire.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in conjunction with engineering licensure preferred.
- Experience with engineering design software (e.g., Civil 3D or similar).
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software or similar.
- Knowledge of engineering planning studies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Up to $120,000 base pay (DOE) with potential wage growth
