Job Overview

Advantage Asphalt Paving LLC is seeking an experienced Dirtwork / Asphalt Prep Foreman to lead grading and site preparation crews on residential, commercial, and government paving projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for setting grades, coordinating daily work, operating equipment when needed, and ensuring each site is properly prepared for paving operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise dirtwork and asphalt preparation crews
  • Read and interpret plans, set grades, and coordinate daily jobsite activities
  • Ensure sites are properly prepared for paving, meeting quality and production standards
  • Operate equipment as needed to support grading and prep operations
  • Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with management and crew members to keep projects on schedule
  • Lead by example with professionalism, workmanship, and accountability
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in dirtwork and asphalt prep preferred
  • Previous foreman or lead experience required
  • Strong knowledge of grading, site prep, and paving support operations
  • Ability to read plans and set grades accurately
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills
  • Reliable, motivated, and safety-focused
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus, but not required)
