Position: Licensing & Regulatory Specialist

ALPS is looking for a detail-oriented Licensing & Regulatory Specialist to support multi-state insurance licensing, corporate filings, and regulatory reporting to keep the company in good standing. This role is heavily focused on coordination, organization, and managing deadlines.

Key responsibilities include maintaining calendars, managing documentation, and facilitating clear communication with regulators. The ideal candidate is highly organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable navigating varied regulatory frameworks. A background in legal, insurance, or compliance-related fields is a plus.

What you'll do:

  • Manage producer, adjuster, and agency licensing.
  • Oversee the licensing lifecycle for all licensed staff, including tracking licenses, appointments, new and renewal; monitoring dashboards and reports; and flagging expirations or issues.
  • Prepare and coordinate completion of required forms, signatures, notarizations, fingerprinting, and document submissions.
  • Monitor managed service partner reports and escalate delays or discrepancies.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and filings.
  • Maintain organized records, filings, and correspondence.
  • Manage internal trackers, calendars, and reference materials.
  • Manage compliance inbox correspondence.
  • Assist Internal Audit process which includes data gathering and document review.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal and regulatory compliance team.

Minimum Education:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent administrative and clerical experience in a professional setting. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Notary Public Commission in the State of Montana.

Minimum Experience:

Familiarity with legal, insurance, or administrative environments. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams) and ability to apply knowledge accurately and efficiently.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow and apply company standards consistently. Comfortable prioritizing workload, collaborating cross-functionally, and exercising sound judgment while escalating issues appropriately. Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn new systems and processes.
