Maintenancerounds Technician III
Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Technician III to work at its facility in Wiggins, MS.
Responsibilities- Perform skilled tasks in painting, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, electrical work, electronics, air‑conditioning/refrigeration, heating, and general maintenance and repair.
- Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
- Prepare reports and keep simple records.
- Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Either: 3 years of experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, electronics, plastering, air‑conditioning/refrigeration, heating equipment or general maintenance and repair; OR 1 year of experience as a Facilities Maintenance Repairer II.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and retrieve objects from the floor level (bend/stoop) repeatedly.
