PurposeLead crews performing industrial hydroblasting services, vacuum hose operations, and truck operations safely and efficiently to complete jobs at the client’s site, following the client and business requirements and company policies, practices, and procedures. In addition, will operate and maintain equipment.
Essential FunctionsThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all‑inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
- Supervises/Coaches employees, giving oral and written feedback regularly as required.
- Timely completes and approves sales tickets, timesheets, and time off requests as required.
- Performs corrective actions as needed.
- Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures for personnel at the worksite, including training, reporting, and follow‑through.
- Responsible for supervision of personnel and equipment for successful completion of each required job, including: ability to lead employees effectively; assumes responsibility for the safe operation of all required equipment; completion of all tickets and paperwork efficiently and accurately, as needed, daily.
- Must perform the following tasks safely and efficiently: wet and dry vacuum truck operation & functions; hydro blaster operations, including Lance/Shotgun operation; hydraulic pump operations; jetter truck operations; load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies; performs manual tasks and assists Technicians and Operators.
- Responsible for maintenance and care of vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
- Ensures accurate completion of all required DOT paperwork and daily work tickets.
- Reports potential issues or concerns to the Branch Manager.
- Performs safety procedures including JSA’s, lockout‑tag‑out, confined space entry, housekeeping, and company‑specific procedures.
- Repairs equipment on the job if needed.
- Leads small groups of personnel on specific qualified jobs.
- Ensures that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Arrives at office or job site on time and ready to work.
- Adheres to company policies.
- Wears and properly uses personal protective equipment (PPE); multiple combinations of respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection.
- Works when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy.
- Attends all safety and health training as required.
- Travel is required, sometimes for long periods, to perform this work.
- Assist in other company areas as needed, including but not limited to shop, parts, inventory, and municipal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces such as close quarters, crawl spaces, manholes, and other areas that may cause claustrophobia for cleaning purposes.
- Must possess a safety‑first, positive attitude and work as a team.
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain all company equipment and accessories.
- Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
- Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be adaptable to change with short notice.
- Ability to train and lead others.
- Ability to address customer needs and present solutions promptly and efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, crew, and division personnel and negotiate with members of all backgrounds and personalities.
- Ability to be self‑sufficient, independent, and resourceful.
- Must complete all pre and post‑training, including safety, new hire, and regulatory.
