Job Title:

Laser Tracker Quality Inspector

Inspect machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines such as Military Standards, ASTM, AWS, ANSI, and ASME Code. Provide various electronic and hard copy reports of inspections and notify appropriate parties including project engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate measuring and test equipment to include Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Operate Laser Tracker (LEICA type) equipment for part acceptance, including equipment setup, inspection techniques, and final dimensional inspections while the product is in-process.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain computer databases.
  • Observe testing and provide quality oversight necessary to verify compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during audits and reviews of company inspection and calibration activities.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Coordinate the procurement of standard materials, services, and parts for inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted.
  • Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with spatial analysis, PCDMIS, Polyworks, ISO 9001/9000, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using calipers, hand tools, micrometers, and performing visual inspections.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and respond to a variety of complex issues.
  • Intermediate to Subject Matter Expert level knowledge on Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proven ability to program and operate Laser Tracker equipment (LEICA models or similar).
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Spatial Analyzer software.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS 9100/9102, and Department of Defense quality assurance program requirements.

Skills & Qualifications
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Work Environment

This position is onsite in Tupelo, MS, working on new products and programs under the GA-EMS group. The work schedule is 4x10-hour days, with potential for overtime on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shannon, MS.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
