Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

Location: Baldwyn

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a 100-bed post-acute facility, requiring a MS or compact RN license and prior LTAC experience.

Job Details

• Work in a 100-bed long-term acute care facility,

• Patient population includes geriatric, short-term, post-acute, and tracheostomy patients,

• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:20 with nurse practitioner support on site weekdays,

• Day shifts are 12 hours, with a rotating schedule including some weekends,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Mississippi or compact state required,

• Minimum two years of LTAC nursing experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience is required, but strong first-time travelers may be considered,

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Experience in facilities with 400+ beds or Level 2 trauma exposure is strongly preferred,

Additional Information

• Provide care for geriatric and post-acute patients, including those with tracheostomies,

• Work as part of a team with a nurse practitioner on duty during weekdays and strong ancillary support,

• Weekend rotation is required as part of the regular schedule,

• Scrubs or dress code requirements are not specified,
