Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a 100-bed LTAC facility, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LTAC experience and prior travel experience.

Job Details

• Long Term Care unit within a 100-bed LTAC facility,

• Patient population includes geriatric, short-term post-acute, LTAC, and trach patients,

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20 with a Nurse Practitioner on duty Mon-Fri from 7:00 AM-4:30 PM,

• Ancillary assistance available: 9 aides on days, 7 on nights,

• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM-7:08 PM,

• Schedule options: 36 hrs/week (Mon, Thu, Fri + Tue OR Wed, Sat, Sun) or a 36/48 split (Mon, Thu, Fri + Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun),

• 13-week assignment,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of LTAC experience required,

• Experience at a 400+ bed facility or Level 2 trauma center strongly preferred,

• Prior travel nursing experience required,

• Social Security number required for consideration,

• References from a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager) covering the last year of employment required for consideration - if worked at multiple facilities in the past year, a reference from each is required,

• Current specialty-specific skills checklist (valid within the past year) required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide RN-level care to a geriatric and post-acute patient population including trach and LTAC patients,

• Strong first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis,

• Employment history for the past 7 years must be provided, including facility names, specialties, and dates worked; gaps of more than 30 days require a written explanation,
