Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant at North Mississippi Health Services provides routine patient care within an assigned unit, assists with activities of daily living, coordinates daily patient care activities, maintains inventory control, and adheres to professional standards while prioritizing patient care and documenting practices accurately.

Patient Care
  • Perform tasks related to routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with the patient’s plan of care, providing or assisting with activities of daily scrolling including personal hygiene, grooming, mobility, and comfort.
  • Co­ordinate daily patient‑care activities for the nursing unit efficiently.
  • Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Respond to patient call lights/requests and report to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist patients in meeting nutritional needs, such as feeding, providing fluids and supplements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and the health‑care team.
  • Document care provided using worksheets and/or the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate patient information or concerns to appropriate interdisciplinary team member(s).
  • Facilitate visitor communication with staff and physicians and provide directions or referral as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal healthటికే information of all patients.
Inventory and Budget Control
  • Order, stock, and replenish unit supplies and equipment in a cost‑efficient manner.
  • Participate in identifying unit financial responsibility during budget preparation and help keep the unit within budget restraints.
Customer & Communication Service
  • Welcome visitors with a courteous greeting, answer questions, and provide directions.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls and inquiries to appropriate department or staff.
  • Exhibit polite and friendly behavior in all interactions, whether by phone or in person.
  • Facilitate unit communication via telephone, intercom, call light, computers, etc., and relay information appropriately.
Qualifications Education
  • High School Diploma or GEDactoring, or equivalent.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Maintain knowledge and resources to provide age‑吉林appropriate care.
  • Recognize and report changes and abnormalities in the patient’s condition.
  • Utilize and care for equipment and supplies on the Nursing unit.
  • Have basic$m knowledge of computers; read and write proficiently.
  • Prioritize patient care, carry out assigned duties, and document appropriately.
  • Assume additional duties as delegated or needed.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and promote harmony on the unit and with other departments.
  • Project a positive image of the unit to all customers.
