Overview
Production Supervisor - First Shift
Location: Walnut, MS
Type: Full-Time | Manufacturing
A manufacturing facility is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead first-shift operations and ensure production goals are met while maintaining strong safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support production associates on the shop floor
- Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) targets are met
- Track and analyze production metrics; drive continuous improvement
- Train team members on production processes and quality controls
- Enforce safety and quality programs with proper documentation
- Monitor equipment performance and address issues proactively
- Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with support teams to ensure adequate resources
- Communicate expectations clearly and lead by example
- 2-5+ years of manufacturing experience
- 2-5+ years in production or operations roles
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus (SAP preferred)
- Hands-on, process-driven leader
- Strong communicator with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a focus on accountability and improvement
Determining compensation for this role at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The salary range is noted in this job posting where required by local law. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
