Production Manager
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to add to our Body Line operations. This role is vital to meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong manufacturing knowledge, a hands-on approach, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Establish and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Assign work and prepare shift schedules to optimize labor and material resources.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate employee performance; deliver feedback and support.
- Monitor production output for accuracy and adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure proper and safe operation of all machinery; coordinate preventative maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and lean principles.
- Provide training to new employees and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Lead by example in enforcing OSHA standards and company safety guidelines.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track production metrics and provide timely reports to management.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (truck or heavy equipment preferred)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Associate’s or Technical Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field
- Experience in truck body fabrication or welding operations
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
