DTC Packer

Job Function

The purpose of the Packer position is to provide labor in support of a variety of distribution processes to meet the facility’s productivity goals. The support includes but is not limited to labeling, loading and unloading trailers, palletizing, cleaning, sorting, and providing products to value added service lines.

• Work in a safe manner and follow all facilities and work rules
• Manually loads and unloads trucks and trailers/containers as required
• Complies with deadlines and produces work that meets productivity and quality standards
• Label, sort and stack parcels on the pallets as required by following palletization diagram.
• Hand applies shrink wrap material to pallets as needed
• Perform a variety of rework tasks as assigned
• Operate a manual and automated hand truck dolly
• Timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
• Accurate placement of shipping labels on product according to customer specification
• Pack and scan inner pick products using RF equipment or computer
• Pick, sort and stage orders for loading
• Stock inner pick bins as needed
• Print tickets and price tickets for individual sale units
• Palletize and shrink wrap product as required
• Operate manual and powered pallet jack/lift as needed
• Produce work that meets productivity and quality standards
• Maintains good housekeeping by keeping tools and equipment in clean, working conditions
• Knowledge of accurate shipping label placement on product
• Immediately report unusual conditions or problems to the Supervisor.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in the use of an RF - Outbound
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Basic reading and writing in English
• Must be detail oriented to correctly match product and with order numbers

• Equipment Used:
  Use of manual pallet jack. Use of manual and automated hand truck dolly
• Physical Demands:
  Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items. Requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs. when necessary

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years related experience

7am-3:30pm
