Carthage Haul; MLO Mechanic Maintenance MEFT 1st Shift

Job Details

Hours of work: 6 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday. Holiday work is required and some weekend work.

This position will perform any other duties assigned by Live Haul Manager. All Tyson policies and procedures must be followed to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines.

Pay: $26.50/hour. Attendance Incentive offered.

• This position will be at the Carthage, MS location and will report to the Live Haul Manager.
• Will be working Monday through Friday 6 am to 2 pm (schedule subject to change). Holiday and Weekend work required.
• Perform diagnostic, preventive and repair maintenance on company heavy and light fleet vehicles and other duties as assigned.

• Applicant must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday thru Friday 6 am - 3 pm (subject to change); must be flexible.
• Must show 4-years mechanic experience on application.
• Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in the last two years to exclude DUI conviction on MVR.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a company license.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must possess advanced wiring skills for lights and harnesses on vehicles.
• Must possess advanced welding skills.
• Must be able to take road service calls as needed. Must be able to service vehicles. (PM1, PM2)
• Must be able to perform PM6 – DOT inspections.
• Must be able to perform minor loader repairs.
• Must be able to perform minor motor, transmission, and rear end repairs.
• Must be able to perform major trailer repairs.
• Must be able to work in cold, hot and/or wet conditions.
