Overview
Join COLSA's fast-paced, mission-driven team supporting the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) under the NTSS contract. As a Junior Service Now Developer
, you’ll assist in the design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of software solutions to enhance and automate NSSC business processes. This role offers hands-on experience with the Service Now platform—configuring applications, developing workflows, and creating custom solutions that support NASA’s enterprise services. - Assists in designing, developing, testing and implementing software programs.
- Assists in analyzing user software program needs and troubleshooting.
- Assists in the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems.
- Recommends best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on Service Now offered applications and modules.
- Activation and configuration of Service Now applications to meet business needs.
- Development of workflows and scripts to personalize existing Service Now applications.
- Development of Service Now custom applications from inception to completion to automate and improve processes.
- Works closely with customers to research, design, develop and deliver innovative solutions to improve their business processes.
- Assists in identifying best practices for development of new and existing Service Now applications.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to software applications, systems integration, and multiple platforms.
- Assists in planning system and development deployment and is responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
- Documents software to organizational standards.
- May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs.

Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with the Service Now platform, including workflows and client/server-side scripting.
- 1-3+ years of overall IT experience.
- Knowledge of information technology software development methodologies and software development scripting/languages.
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to undergo background investigation for position of Public Trust.
- Must reside within commuting distance of Stennis Space Center (Stennis, MS).
- 1+ years of experience working with Service Now modules such as:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
- IT Financial Management (ITFM)
- IT Business Management (ITBM)
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Familiarity with .NET, JavaScript, and web development.
- Experience with web services and database integration.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
