Deliverables: This resource will act as the subject matter expert on enterprise F5 Application Delivery Controller hardware, software, and functions to ensure all Fektiv S in (Application Hosting Services, OnPremise and Public Cloud Services) are running at current code (N‑1). The role includes cleanup of all unused Virtual Clustered Multiprocessing (VCMPs), assessment of all F5 builds, reporting areas that may require improvement, and options to reduce the F5 footprint in the AHS environment as the Ministry transitions to cloud.
A networking background is required, with proficiency in routing and switching in an enterprise environment. The resource will act as a technical subject‑matter expert across a variety of projects while providing day‑to‑day support for change, problem, and incident management.
- Integrate and secure cloud services for applications
- Provide operational support for networking/security for GDC/Colo1/2/3 and OPCS/Perimeter Firewalls for Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Perform daily operational changes, incident/problem management
- Provide on‑call/stand‑by support when required, closing tickets in a timely manner and keeping clients/management updated on ticket status
- Adhere to Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics, device maintenance, and provide technical method of procedure for all changes
- Acquire network captures and articulate/document capture and point or root cause
- Work on Network/Security project initiatives while running business activities

- GDC floor consolidation
- Cisco Access Switch refresh – 14 devices
- Check Point Firewall refresh – 16 devices
- Provide stand‑by support for regular and after‑hours operations
- Demonstrated 10+ years of enterprise level experience in a technical or business capacity with experience in n‑Tiered Data Centre Networks and Tier‑IV Data Centre environments
- Experience interacting with internal/external stakeholders, explaining technical issues clearly and providing technical documentation
- Proficient with F5 Load Balancing, including networking (Cisco Routing and Switching) and security (Firewalls – Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco FTD)
- Demonstrated 10+ years of experience in enterprise level technical or business capacity with n‑Tiered Data Centre Networks and Tier‑IV Data Centre environments
- Effective communication with internal/external stakeholders, clearly explaining technical issues and providing documentation
- Deep knowledge of F5 Load Balancing, networking (Cisco Routing and Switching), and security (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco FTD)
- Experience with cloud integration and support
- Experience in the OPS environment
