RQ- Software Developer - Senior

Description:

• The Senior Software Developer will support the Stage Path team. Stage Path enables province-wide collection of high-quality cancer pathology and cancer stage data from hospitals and laboratories through common data and reporting standards for the Ontario Cancer Registry (OCR).
• This position is also essential to achieving funded milestones for the OCR enhancement project aimed at enhancing the collection, integration, and use of cancer data in Canada over the next 5–10 years to improve access, experience, and outcomes in cancer services.

Deliverables Include, but are not limited to:

• OCR ePath Stage Improvements (Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) Proposal) – Need to design and build a solution to parse Azure Machine Learning output (flat file) into a database. The data must then be transferred to the application database based on specific logic.
• Stage v26 annual release – Annual release for the Staging suite of applications. Involves the installation and configuration of 3rd party applications and some database management.

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working tested applications.

• Developing detailed programming specifications
• Writing and/or generating code
• Design and creation of SQL databases
• Compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests
• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations

Must Haves:

• 7+years experience
  
  Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET)
• 7+years experience
  
  SQL Server (database creation and management)

Nice to Have:

• Web deployment and development
