Brief Overview

The Manager, Transportation & Distribution Analytics provides end‑users across the ASICS America supply chain organization with visibility and insight to key indicators, trends, and other business intelligence. Responsibilities include analyzing warehouse operations, inbound & outbound logistics, and inventory planning; identifying patterns from complex data sets; and communicating findings through data visualization and reporting techniques.

What You’ll Do
  • Use data mining, statistics, statistical modeling, and machine learning to uncover relationships and patterns in data and translate insights into actionable steps and best practices
  • Build a deep understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables identification and resolution of critical issues
  • Educate and train clients to use data as an analytical tool, presenting information in new forms for exploration of options
  • Communicate data, reports, and findings across multiple media, including oral presentations, written reports, charts, graphs, web-based interactive reports, and data visualizations; maintain excellent documentation
  • Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to build and manage databases
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and recommend improvements
  • Provide accurate, reliable data that is readily available to users, leading and developing DC Analysts to do the same for their customer base
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, embody company ethics and values, and comply with federal, state, and local laws

  • Apply knowledge of financial analytics and reporting

  • Master data analysis, including complex data formatting, query massaging, and dashboard design
  • Go beyond the obvious by exploring the source, definition, philosophy, and foundational roots of data elements to create information
  • Understand how data is turned into information and how that knowledge supports key business processes
  • Apply strong statistical knowledge and proficiency with a statistical analysis tool such as R (preferred)
  • Show strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
  • Possess patience for dealing with messy, human‑generated data
  • Maintain knowledge of the business environment and work well within a team environment
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and visual acuity required for job duties
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related analytic field; MBA or M.S. a plus or equivalent work experience (required)
  • 0–2 years of experience managing direct reports or equivalent training and experience (preferred)
  • 4–6 years of business analysis or related technical experience/education (required)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and Visual Basic (required)
  • Experience with SAP, Manhattan WMS, and Fortna WCS preferred
  • Distribution center and supply‑chain operations experience preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and Access (required)
