Wayne General Hospital is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented ED Registration Clerk to join our Registration team. As the first point of contact for patients in our Emergency Department, you’ll help ensure every visit starts smoothly and efficiently.

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner
• Accurately collect and enter patient and insurance information into the EHR system
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Answer phones, schedule or update appointments, and direct calls appropriately
• Support staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the department

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous medical office or registration experience (preferred, but not required)
• Basic understanding of insurance and billing helpful
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual abilities are a plus!
