Job Overview:
Linde U.S. Gases is currently seeking a Production Superintendent in Hamilton, MS. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
The Hamilton, MS facility consists of two cryogenic air separation plants along with pipelines and auxiliary equipment for supplying gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, and compressed air to a neighboring customer. The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met, and the facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This is a front‑line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility.
This position requires a combination of office and field work. Accessibility during off‑hours (laptop and cell phone) is required.
- Direct management of plant technicians.
- Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards.
- Maximize efficiency and operating capacity of the plant.
- Troubleshooting plant process, or equipment problems, and implementing solutions.
- Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate audits.
- Coordinates major outage and project work with reliability centers, mechanical integrity team, and capital project teams to ensure most efficient and cost‑effective execution.
- Local point of contact for dedicated pipeline customers.
- Maintain documentation of equipment and processes.
- Responsible for process safety information related to plant activities (MOC, LOTO, PTW).
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience. Will consider relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- Preferred candidate will have at least one year of experience leading a team in an industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of industrial gas plant processes.
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
