Supervisory-level position overseeing trainers in skilled or technical vocations such as building, industrial, or mechanical trades, or business or service occupations to clients in a state facility. Accountable for developing curriculum, planning and preparing course outlines and content, planning for better use of materials and resources, and ensuring adherence of teaching programs to facility goals. At this level, positions supervise lower-level vocational teaching positions.
Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training oversight; and performance assessment, coaching, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Develop curriculum, plan and prepare course outlines and content.
- Plan for better use of materials and resources.
- Ensure adherence of teaching programs to facility goals.
- Supervise lower-level vocational teaching positions.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, follow MSPB AND MDOC Policies and Procedures, have good communication skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications- High School Diploma or high school equivalency.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience and/or relevant certifications/licenses.
