About the Position
Shady Grove Baptist Church of Lucedale, MS is prayerfully seeking applicants for a Student Minister. The desired candidate must be led by God, acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, have a consistent and faithful prayer life, maintain personal devotions, be a personal soul-winner and profess a vocational calling into student ministry. The candidate must maintain a high moral and ethical lifestyle and demonstrate financial responsibility.
Responsibilities- Provide by example and teaching, spiritual leadership to students and seek the salvation of the unsaved.
- Build a strong foundation of Christian faith and Southern Baptist doctrine in students.
- Work with the Pastor and appropriate committees in coordinating and promoting all student ministries of the church.
- Teach Wednesday and Sunday Bible studies for students.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local school officials.
- Plan and direct children/youth activities and events including, but not limited to Wednesday and Sunday bible study for students, youth retreats/camps, youth weeks, youth revivals.
