Overview

Strategic Sourcing & Category Manager located in Atlanta, GA or Byhalia, MS. Responsible for managing materials procurement life cycle including supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase order management, capacity scale-up, and supplier performance. The role focuses on optimizing and scaling planning and purchasing processes for TKE new product introduction and managing critical outsourcing activities. This position develops and implements procurement sourcing strategies end to end, executes cost reduction initiatives, and leads all commercial negotiations with suppliers.

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Category Manager in Atlanta, GA or Byhalia, MS with responsibilities that include developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across the supply base.

• Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies, tools, and plans that align with the company’s goals and maintain sustained supply in a dynamic environment.
• Direct activities of planning and purchasing of materials and capital equipment; partner with internal teams on inventory management of acquired elements.
• Manage ECO / MCO change orders in conjunction with product life cycle and engineering; ensure processes are clearly articulated for vendors and integrated with Engineering and Manufacturing in a co-development environment.
• Experience with a large matrix of sourcing and category management initiatives within mechanical, electrical, and electronics domains at a global level; prioritize tasks and communicate complex matters across the business.
• Develop & execute strategic agreements (NDA/JDA/MSA) with legal counsel, considering fixed/variable costs, lead-times, schedules, manufacturing capacities, and IP protection.
• Source, develop, qualify, and maintain vendor relationships and negotiated agreements in collaboration with technical teams and in compliance with policies; ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services.
• Oversee input and maintenance of master data in SAP/Jaggaer for supplier master data related to new product launch platforms.
• Apply strong negotiation skills to reduce costs, leading cross-functional negotiations or working independently.
• Strategize the purchase order process and ensure proper tracking and documentation of all procurement activities, including monitoring core procurement systems.
• Develop best-practice sourcing strategies within the global supplier landscape, evaluating current supply base to support TKE new product business lines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (or 5 years of NPI sourcing experience).
• Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• P.M, CPSM, CPSD, or equivalent procurement certification is a plus.
• Project Management Certification is a plus.
• 10+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within elevator industry preferred, or alternatively automotive, aerospace, or consumer goods manufacturing industry required.
• Superior project management skills, attention to detail, and strong understanding of business processes and communication.
• Ability to independently plan, coordinate, and execute work with autonomy and communicate progress to senior leaders and subordinates with excellent presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Lifecycle Management).
• Well-versed in total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis for data-driven supplier/component selection.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills; exceptional communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/resources simultaneously.
