Job Summary:

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Shipping Supervisor to take the lead on outbound logistics operations for one of our trusted clients. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and meet both customer expectations and company standards. If you have 3–5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, this is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily shipping activities, including packing, labelling, and scheduling pickups
  • Ensure all outbound orders are shipped accurately, with the correct documentation and in line with deadlines
  • Supervise a team of shipping staff—delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing on-the-job coaching
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as production, inventory, and customer service to resolve order or scheduling issues
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies and maintain a clean, organized shipping area
  • Track and analyze shipping KPIs and prepare regular reports for leadership
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline shipping workflows and reduce costs
  • Onboard and train new team members on shipping procedures and equipment use

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of shipping processes, transportation scheduling, and documentation requirements
  • Comfortable using ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a strong asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift license or experience operating material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with cross-border or international shipping and customs processes
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or inventory tracking systems
  • Background in high-volume distribution or manufacturing environments

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage
  • Opportunities for overtime
  • Career advancement
  • Supportive work environment
  • On-the-job training
