Job Summary:
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Shipping Supervisor to take the lead on outbound logistics operations for one of our trusted clients. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and meet both customer expectations and company standards. If you have 3–5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, this is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily shipping activities, including packing, labelling, and scheduling pickups
- Ensure all outbound orders are shipped accurately, with the correct documentation and in line with deadlines
- Supervise a team of shipping staff—delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing on-the-job coaching
- Collaborate closely with other departments such as production, inventory, and customer service to resolve order or scheduling issues
- Enforce warehouse safety policies and maintain a clean, organized shipping area
- Track and analyze shipping KPIs and prepare regular reports for leadership
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline shipping workflows and reduce costs
- Onboard and train new team members on shipping procedures and equipment use
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Solid understanding of shipping processes, transportation scheduling, and documentation requirements
- Comfortable using ERP systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a strong asset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid forklift license or experience operating material handling equipment
- Familiarity with cross-border or international shipping and customs processes
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or inventory tracking systems
- Background in high-volume distribution or manufacturing environments
