Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, the Logistics Planner ensures the correct mix of resources (driver, equipment) for the efficient delivery of product, maximizing assets, while minimizing distribution costs.

• Monitor, review and analyze customer usage.
• Review and update trips to ensure accuracy and meet customer needs.
• Maintain effective communications with drivers, equipment suppliers, sales, plant personnel and garages; resolve issues to achieve lowest distribution costs.
• Analyze asset utilization and distribution costs, adjusting the distribution plan to meet agreed distribution costs.
• Plan just-in-time deliveries to Praxair customers based on government regulations (Canada/US), driver hours of service guidelines, equipment and product availability.
• Analyze and manage plant inventory, ensuring movement of product to needed regions while minimizing product cost.

• Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Logistic/Production planning or related discipline.

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a logistics environment or related field.
• Proficiency in French is considered a strong asset.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Attention to detail and results oriented.
• Able to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
• Commitment to client and personal safety.
• Maintain client confidentiality.

• Rotational 12-hour shift format: 4 days on / 4 days off, day or night.
