What you will be doing:

Lead multi-functional development team in the maintenance and evolution of backend and client-facing applications for Rexall flagship loyalty program.

Define application roadmap in line with business priorities.

Oversee the full agile software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing and support

Drive product architecture and technology evolution.

Perform code reviews regularly with all developers.

Willing to work after-hours to assist with deployments and troubleshooting.

Define and enforce coding standards, architecture best practices, and development guidelines.

Ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI, PIPEDA, FHIR).

Collaborative with QA teams, ensuring the successful execution of test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and ensuring that product releases meet high-quality standards before launch.

Evaluates technology vendors and solutions. Manages budgets to optimize mobile development resources and project outcomes.

How you will succeed:

University Degree or College Diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

At least 10 years of experience in software development, with experience leading and mentoring developers.

Strong knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), methodologies, processes, standards and best practices for web and mobile development.

Expertise building .Net/C# Core Applications

Experience with microservices architecture

Experience building high-performing scalable architectures

Familiarity in setting up Kubernetes and Docker containers

Strong understanding of web technologies (web apps, HTTP, JavaScript)

Experience with Android and iOS mobile app development (Kotlin and Swift)

Proficient in Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines, automating builds, testing, and deployments
