Registered Practical Nurse; RPN

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care in a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment. The RPN plays a vital role in monitoring patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care. This role is best suited for compassionate individuals with strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration and wound care
• Monitor patient health, record vital signs, and update care plans
• Assist with assessments and documentation according to professional standards
• Support physicians and RNs in clinical procedures and treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols
• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with patients

Qualifications:

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Diploma in Practical Nursing from a recognized institution
• 2–3 years of nursing experience in a clinical or long-term care setting
• Strong knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare documentation
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy, dementia care) are an asset
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
