About the Position
Full time Laborer – this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant at Mississauga, Ontario
Duties and Responsibilities

This position also includes general sanitation duties

Following established GMPs for our food safety programs

Adhering to GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Safety Rules is essential

Duties include but are not limited to material handling, light maintenance, and cleaning

Must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend

May be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kg

Also needs to be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions

Shift work, overtime and weekends will be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

There is room for further advancement in this role

In order to meet the requirements of this job posting the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs

To be successful the candidate will be advancing towards an Operator position over time as business requires

The expectation being that the successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues

Education or Work Experience

High school education or equivalent is preferred

Additional Information

Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation

Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements

All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.

Relocation support is not available for this position.
