Position: Corporate Counsel - Temp Full time - M Legal Services
Job Summary
Trillium Health Partners (THP) is seeking a strategic and results-oriented lawyer to join its Legal Services Team. The Corporate Counsel will provide a full spectrum of legal services across the organization with an emphasis on corporate/commercial advice and legal services within a public hospital regulatory regime. This role supports the hospital’s strategic direction and delivers outstanding health care to the community.

Responsibilities

Provide corporate and commercial legal advice across all three THP sites.

Advises on regulatory matters applicable to a public hospital setting.

Manage legal matters related to contracts, procurement, and corporate governance.

Support the Director of Corporate Law and Insurance in policy development and risk management.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.

Represent the hospital in external agreements and negotiations.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of post-call legal experience focused on corporate or commercial law.

Experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Understanding of the regulatory environment for public health institutions.

Location and Travel
The position is based at Mississauga Hospital with travel among THP’s three sites (Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre) as required.
