About the Role
We are looking for a Business Systems Engineer (Security and Automation Platforms) who will play a dual role across application security and enterprise automation platforms support. This role partners closely with application development teams, platform owners, and security stakeholders to ensure that systems are secure by design, resilient, and well-supported in production.

Approximately 70% of the role is focused on security (design, data isolation, vulnerability review, and remediation guidance), with the remaining 30% supporting and evolving strategic automation platforms such as NiFi, RPA, and AI platforms.

The ideal candidate is someone who can pivot from reviewing a vulnerability scan with a developer in the morning to optimizing an AI or RPA workflow in the afternoon.
What You’ll Do
Security Design & Vulnerability Management (70%)

Partner with development teams to embed security into application design and architecture (secure-by-design principles).

Review application architectures and designs to identify security risks and recommend mitigations.

Analyze results from security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scans, etc.).

Work with developers to triage, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities, providing practical and actionable guidance.

Help define and improve secure development standards, patterns, and best practices.

Act as a bridge between central security teams and application teams, translating security requirements into implementable solutions.

Support risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews for new and existing applications.

Application Platform Support (30%)

Support and maintain enterprise application platforms such as:
Apache NiFiRPA platforms

AI application platforms

Provide engineering support for platform stability, performance, and scalability.

Monitor platform health

Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues across environments.

Ensure platforms meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications

Experience:

3+ years in Systems Engineering or Security Engineering

Ability to interpret security scan results and work effectively with developers on remediation.

Experience supporting enterprise automation platforms (e.g., NiFi, RPA, integration, or AI platforms).

Solid understanding of application architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows.

Strong collaboration and communication skills — able to work across engineering, security, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices and CI/CD security integration.

Familiarity with cloud environments and containerized workloads.

Exposure to security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

Prior experience in a large-scale or regulated enterprise environment.

Working Conditions & Flexibility

Schedule:

Occasional non-standard hours or overtime may be required based on business needs; some on-call availability may also be necessary for critical production support.

Travel:
May include local (in-country) and global travel for key meetings or team events.
