Overview
Responsible for designing and maintaining the operating environment that powers the Firm’s z-platform computing infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
Key Skills- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Hands‑on expertise in z/OS internals
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with catalog management
- Proven troubleshooting skills, especially in high‑pressure production outage scenarios
- Proficiency in USS/OMVS
- Experience with z/OS and ISV software installations
- Advanced testing capabilities (designing tests for functionality, robustness, and performance)
- Solid understanding of HCD and hardware configuration
- Programming experience in REXX
- Availability for weekend support and on‑call rotation
- Familiarity with modern z/OS technologies such as zOSMF, REST APIs, Kafka, Ansible, Python (preferred)
- Assembler skills for usermod maintenance and dump analysis (desirable but not mandatory)
- Self‑motivated and collaborative team player
- Strong analytical and investigative mindset with creative problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
