The Role: Senior JDE Developer Analyst

  • In this existing role you will work closely with business and systems analysts, responsible for defining, developing, testing, maintaining and implementing new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding and testing software programs and applications. The Sr. JDE Systems Developer will also research, design, document and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle and may occasionally participate in troubleshooting issues and correcting program bugs.

    What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop requirements, feasibility, design and specification documents for systems.
  • Implement systems to support ideas, departments, organizations or business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into systems design and specifications.
  • Analyze, design and coding of custom reports, UBEs and programs.
  • Work closely with the CNC and AS400 administrator to resolve JDE application issues.
  • Analyze and recommend alternatives and options for solutions.
  • Provide support to users post implementation by investigating and resolving their questions and issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the functionality and proper use of JDE.
  • Log and follow-up issues with Oracle JDE help desk as required.
  • Develop technical specifications for systems development, design and implementation.
  • Assist with the integration of JDE into other packaged and custom applications.
  • Conduct post implementation review.
  • Mentor and coach team members to ensure quality results for customers.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • 2-3 year College diploma in a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years experience working as a JDE Developer
  • Experience in coaching and/or mentoring a team of technical individuals.
  • Ability to be creative and innovative thinker.
  • Must have experience with JDE 9.1 or newer
  • Proficient in a AS/400 iSeries environment (V7R5)
  • Extensive experience in writing complex SEQUEL/SQL queries for issue resolution and data extraction
  • Experience using JDE Orchestrator Studio
  • Experience in transitioning business requirements to technical specifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of JDE tables and various JDE components’ interrelationship.
  • Experience with a focus on JDE Financials (GL/AP/AR) and Distribution modules (SO/PO).
  • Excellent knowledge of system development life cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening and facilitating.
  • Understanding of the retail business cycle (retail pharmacy preferred).
  • Proven research and analytical skills.
  • Self motivated, team player, flexible, creative.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and contributing.
