Description
- Job Summary
This field role is responsible for the successful design and delivery of high-quality solutions that align with customer needs and drive the organization's growth in Personal Systems Hardware and Software . In this position, you will work directly with clients, providing consultation, managing risk, and leveraging your technical expertise to develop solutions that achieve the customer's desired business outcomes. The role draws on specialized expertise to address complex business challenges, adhering to established standards while recommending suitable alternatives when necessary.
Additionally, you will advocate for approval of internal HP pricing to ensure solutions are both competitive and aligned with company policies.
Responsibilities
Evaluates potential business opportunities by engaging with customer's IT and business teams to understand requirements and match them with the organization's offerings.
Proactively identifies potential opportunity risks, evaluating technical fit and establish timelines and budget to ensure successful deal execution
Provides solutions to the customer's requirements, adapting and optimizing as per their needs, considering scalability, security, and performance.
Aligns proposed solutions with the organization's strategy and supports sales efforts.
Supports account team with solution advice, proposals, and customer communications, identifying upselling and cross selling opportunities.
Builds strong customer relationships as a technical liaison during the presales engagement. Applies consultative selling techniques to advance new opportunities.
Plans for the scalability of the solutions to accommodate future growth and increasing demand.
Support change order enquiries for revision of contractual deliverable.
Stays updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
Education & Experience Recommended
Technical studies, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in technical/consultative selling, project/program management, delivery or account management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
Knowledge & Skills
Sales & Customer Engagement:
Presales, Sales Process, Sales Prospecting, Customer Delivery Management, Request for Proposal (RFP)
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Cloud Familiarity:
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related services such as cloud computing.
Software Solutions:
Knowledge of enterprise applications, SaaS models, APIs, and data integration processes (ETL).
Technical Foundations:
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems design
Product Knowledge:
Aptitude for learning and onboarding new products.
For roles that support customers or partners located within the Province of Quebec, employees must have a basic knowledge of English with the ability to read, write, and speak. Employees should expect to use this knowledge on a daily basis for internal management communication.
