YOUR IMPACT
As a Principal Data Architect, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of Open Text’s data ecosystem at an enterprise scale. In this highly visible role, you’ll influence how data is designed, governed, and leveraged across the organization—powering advanced analytics, AI‑driven innovation, and smarter business decisions. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and technical experts, balancing strategic direction with hands‑on architectural leadership, while helping build modern, secure, and scalable data platforms that support Open Text’s long‑term growth.

What This Role Offers You

The chance to design and own end‑to‑end enterprise data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and operational excellence across a complex global environment.

A leadership role in modernizing data platforms, including cloud migrations, data lakes, and the integration of AI and data science capabilities.

Strategic ownership of large‑scale initiatives such as data integration, warehousing, and platform optimization.

Partnership with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure secure, compliant, and privacy‑focused data solutions.

A platform to mentor and develop technical talent, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of architectural excellence.

Ongoing opportunities to evaluate emerging tools and technologies, helping future‑proof Open Text’s data ecosystem.

The satisfaction of creating clear, reusable documentation and reference architectures that enable alignment and transparency across teams.

What You’ll Bring To Be Successful

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). An MBA or advanced degree is an asset.

15+ years of experience across IT and business environments, with deep expertise in enterprise data architecture and systems lifecycle management.

Proof of designing and executing enterprise data strategies in complex, multi‑technology environments.

Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.

A strategic mindset with excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, focused on performance, scalability, and resilience.

The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.

A passion for continuous learning, with curiosity around emerging trends in data architecture, AI, and digital transformation.
