We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team at a respected retirement home in Mississauga
. This part-time opportunity focuses on weekend coverage, ideal for individuals with availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
. In this role, you will assist residents with their daily living needs, promote their independence, and enhance their overall quality of life in a safe and caring environment.
Location: Retirement Home, Mississauga, ON
Rate: $19 - $21 / hour
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Type: Part-time
Availability
Required:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Weekend Shifts)
- Resident Care: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily activities.
- Mobility Assistance: Support residents with transfers, walking, and positioning as needed.
- Emotional Support: Foster relationships with residents through compassionate care and meaningful interaction.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents physical or mental conditions to the healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided and resident status in accordance with facility policies.

Collaboration:
Work closely with nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. - Infection Control: Adhere to hygiene standards and infection prevention protocols to ensure resident safety.
- Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a recognized program.
- Previous experience in a retirement or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Physically capable of performing care tasks, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a resident-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Weekend availability (Friday to Sunday) is required.
