Part‑time, Hourly. Center and community‑based. Travel is required.
Salary: $80,000‑102,000/yr (pro‑rated).
Schedule (subject to change according to needs):
- Monday, Thursday, Friday: 4 PM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 12:30 noon
Job Summary:
The Psychotherapist plans, develops, and monitors therapy support service delivery options for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. They consult, teach instructional members, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with teams and agencies.
- Ensure services meet best practices and help clients meet targets.
- Conduct thorough reviews of records, including educational, medical, and historical data.
- Use assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and data collection to develop teaching programs linked to family goals.
- Document contacts, observations, interventions, and strategize continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, data measurement, observation notes, assessments, and client self‑reports.
- Prepare reports to comply with contract/funding and professional standards.
- Collaborate with families, admin teams, and discipline leads to recruit, select, train, and retain team members.
- Develop strategies to ensure continuity across settings for clients of all ages.
- Direct treatment team in progressing exercises, functional tasks, and work simulations with clear documentation.
- Master’s degree in counselling, therapy, mental health, psychology or a related discipline and supervised clinical experience required.
- Membership with provincial/federal association typically required (e.g., CRPO, MSSW).
- Ability to travel within the community is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a psychotherapist.
- Bilingual English and French skills are an asset.
- Driver’s license and reliable vehicle are an asset.
