Senior Financial Analyst

The Opportunity
Our client, a privately held renewable energy company based in the GTA, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This newly created role reports to the VP of Finance and will own day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting for a group of international entities.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and contributing to the build‑out of scalable accounting and reporting processes within a growing, global organization.

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day accounting for multiple international entities, including full‑cycle month‑end close

Prepare journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis

Prepare financial statements under  IFRS  (and UK GAAP where applicable)

Support accounts payable processing and clearing for international entities

Assist with consolidations, intercompany transactions, FX translation, and CTA calculations

Support annual audits, including preparation of working papers and auditor inquiries

Help design, implement, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable processes

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting for leadership

What We Need From You

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

4+ years of experience  in accounting and financial reporting

Big 4 or mid‑sized public accounting firm training strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of  IFRS  and private company reporting

Experience with consolidations, intercompany, deferred taxes, and FX

Exposure to  Net Suite  is an asset

Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)

Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to operate in a changing environment

Target bonus: ~10%
